Ernest J Warsinske
Ernest J. "Bunny" Warsinske, 84, of Kimball, died Thursday, July 19, 2012.
He was born July 5, 1928 in Kimball Township to the late Albert and Minnie Warsinski. He married Florence Goodwin on January 24, 1953 in Port Huron.
Mr. Warsinske was employed by Mueller Brass for 42 years, retiring in 1989. He was a 1947 graduate of Marysville High School where he was co-captain of the 1946 football team and received the MacPherson Award for sportsmanship. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a avid train enthusiast and enjoyed golfing, riding his tractor and helping his neighbors.
He is survived by his wife, Florence; three children, Donna (Timothy) Class, Steven (Saundra) Warsinske and Alan (Jane) Warsinske; five grandchildren, Amy (Jeremy) Dove, Julie (Evan) Moustakas, and Allison, Kelly and Lauren Warsinske; five great grandchildren, Cooper, Carter and Caden Dove and Tilo and Nico Moustakas; a brother, Hugo (Agnes) Warsinske; a sister, Helen Anderson; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Sunday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 23, 2012 in Trinity Lutheran Church. The Reverend Ronald Astalos will officiate.
Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council. Pallbearers will be Allison, Kelly and Lauren Warsinske, Timothy Class, Jeremy Dove and Evan Moustakas.
Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
