Stanley Cope

Stanley L. "Bud" Cope, Jr., 53, of Kenockee Township, died Wednesday, August 1, 2012 after a long battle with early-onset Alzheimer's.

He was born May 10, 1959 in Port Huron to the late Dorothy and Stanley Cope, Sr. He married Christine Schulte on August 26, 1978 in Port Huron.

Bud worked for Ford Motor Company for 30 years. He loved working in the yard, deer hunting, motorcycle racing and was a member of the Port Huron Motorcycle Club.

He is survived by his wife, Christine; three children, Michael, Kelly and Kady Cope; three grandchildren, Tyler Gainer, Lohgan Gainer and Michael Cope; a brother, Rod Cope; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gerald and Shirley Albert; two sisters-in-law, Dawn Robbins and Teri Schulte; a brother-in-law, Gerald Albert; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Carter Gainer; and two sisters, Bev Randolph and Linda LaMarsh.

Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 6, 2012 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate.

Burial will be in Ruby Cemetery, Clyde Township. Pallbearers will be Jeffery Potts, Mike Gavalinski, Billy Cornacchia, Steve Sadilek, Brian Cope and Gerald Albert.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
