Lawrence M DeMeyer

Lawrence Michael "Larry" DeMeyer, 73, of Worth Township, died unexpectedly along with his dog, Shep, on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 as a result of an automobile accident.
He was born December 5, 1938 in Grosse Pointe Farms to the late Lawrence E. and Rose DeMeyer. He married Roberta Dashner on March 1, 1969 in East Detroit. She died April 3, 2012.
Mr. DeMeyer was an Electrical Technician with Sears for 30 years prior to his retirement. He served in the U.S. Navy. He was very health conscious and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and fixing things.
He is survived by two daughters, Laurie (Mike) and Michelle (Scott); a granddaughter, Evelyn Rose; a brother, Daniel (NaDean) DeMeyer; and a sister, Karen (Mike) Bloomfield; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, RoseMarie and Ray Lego.
A memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, September 8, 2012 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Deacon Bobbie Jones will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
