Shirley A. (Konye) Brennan, 79, of Port Huron, died Tuesday, September 11, 2012.
She was born January 25, 1933 in Detroit to the late Arnold Battishill and Elsa Konye.
She loved her family and friends at Grandview Towers. She passionately enjoyed growing blue spruce from seed, collecting seashells in Florida and NASCAR racing. She was an avid reader and loved all types of music.
She is survived by daughters, Kristina Lehman, Diane P. Hurley of Yale and Kathy J. Hurley of Williamston; many grandchildren including, Hillary Anne, Jennifer Rose, Stacy Ann and Joseph Everett; a sister, Christine Neel; brothers, Andy, Ron and Bob Konye (and their beautiful families); an aunt, Delores Truan; and cousins, Judy Lessard and Norman Stafford. All were present for a wonderful family reunion held at Shirley’s home on July 15, 2012.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Jimmy A. and Jerry D. Hurley; a daughter, Donna M. Hurley; and a brother, Mike Konye.
Cremation has taken place. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
