Elizabeth M "Betty" Tremp

Elizabeth M. "Betty" Tremp, 85, of Clyde Township, died Sunday, September 23, 2012.

She was born October 5, 1926 in Port Huron to the late Henry and Ethel Meinhardt and was a lifelong area resident.

Mrs. Tremp graduated from Marysville High School and volunteered for over 25 years with the American Red Cross. She enjoyed camping, traveling, music, and most of all, spending time with her family.

She is survived by five children, LeRoy "Mike" (Francine) Tremp Jr., LeeAnn Hills, Patti (Steve) Tuffin, Robin Roberts and James (Deborah) Tremp; 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; her sister, Dorothy Gostinger; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Tremp Sr., a daughter, Barbara Lee Russell, son-in-law, Patrick Hills; and two brothers, John and Howard Meinhardt.

Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Mrs. Tremp will lie in state in St. Stephens Catholic Church on Thursday, September 27, 2012 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Brian Cokonougher will officiate.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross or St. Stephens Catholic Church.
