Harold C May
Harold Carl May Jr, 85, of Fort Gratiot, died Tuesday, October 2, 2012.
He was born October 25, 1926 in Port Huron to the late Mildred and Harold C. May Sr.
Mr. May was a firefighter for 25 years with the City of Port Huron, retiring in 1985. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He loved his red Cadillac, his computer and electronic gadgets.
He is survived by five children, Christine (Bryan) Quayle of Sandpoint, Idaho, Robert (Arline) May Sr. of Smiths Creek, Catherine May, Cheryl (Tony Zaremba) May and Timothy (Lenae) May, all of Port Huron; 15 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; two sisters, Joanne Collins of Battle Creek and Hilda Cline of Port Huron; his former wife, Mary May of Port Huron; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Friday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2012 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate.
Burial will be in Allied Veterans Cemetery, Port Huron. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council.
Memorials may be made to the Allied Veterans Council.
