Karen MacRae
Karen Marie MacRae, 61, of St. Clair Township, died Sunday, October 14, 2012.
She was born June 18, 1951 in St. Clair to the late Eugene and Helen Siler. She married George F. MacRae on November 26, 1971 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clair.
Karen owned and operated Karen’s Day Care for over 30 years. She was a 4-H leader with the Lucky Leaf 4-H Club and enjoyed baking specialty cakes, candy making, sewing and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of over 40 years, George; three children, Melissa Mayes, Julie (Doug) Marriott and Tim (Char) MacRae and their “little brother,” Brandon Baker; five grandchildren, Vince Harrington, Tony Bowers, and Amanda, Emily and Cody Marriott; two sisters, Marilyn (Michael) Tovarez and Linda (William) Farrer; three brothers, Gary Siler, Kevin (MaryJo) Siler and Michael (Sandy) Siler; several aunts, an uncle, many nieces, nephews and cousins; and all of her beloved daycare children.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Thursday in the Marysville Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, October 19, 2012 in the Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Gary Bugaiski will officiate.
