Helen I Andrews
Helen Ida Andrews, 94, of Cadillac, formerly of Port Huron, died Wednesday, October 17, 2012.
She was born July 21, 1918 in Port Huron to the late Peter and Eunice Peltier. She married Clayton Delbert Andrews on July 2, 1938 in Marysville. He died August 29, 2008.
Mrs. Andrews was a bus driver for the Port Huron Area School District for 37 years and also drove the bus for The Salvation Army in Port Huron for 7 years. Helen was lovingly cared for by her extended family, the staff at Green Acres in Cadillac.
She is survived by two children, Alice Anna Rawlin of Cadillac and Clayton Delbert “Del” (Marcia) Andrews of Johanesburg; two grandchildren, Ruth (Dave) Tacoma and Dr. J. William “Bill” (Tina) Rawlin; six great grandchildren, Andrew (Christina), Reuben (Emily), Wesley, Joseph, Jayden and Jenna; a sister, Marie Mitchell; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Wesley Rawlin; brother, William Peltier; and three sisters, Pauline Watkins, Eunice Cline and Reva Andrews.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, October 22, 2012 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Captains Mark and Val Nance of The Salvation Army in Cadillac will officiate.
Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dr. J. William "Bill"
Rawlin, Dave Tacoma, Andrew Tacoma, Reuben Tacoma, Wesley Tacoma and nephew, Ed Andrews.
Memorials may be made to The Salvation Army.
