Dorothy Jean Curley, 89, of Marysville, passed away Friday morning, November 9, 2012.
She was born May 25, 1923 in St. Clair to the late Stafford and Fyrne Burton. She married Richard Curley on August 20, 1943 in Norfolk, Virginia. He died May 16, 2004.
The most important thing in the world to Jean was her family. She also enjoyed her friends, her dogs and playing cards.
She is survived by her children Bonnie (David) Maynard of Stanwood, Joan (Chick) Kimball of St. Clair, Michael Curley of Marysville, Linda Curley of Kimball, R. Patrick Curley of Fort Gratiot, Terence (Karen) Curley of Marysville, and Daniel Curley of Marysville; thirteen grandchildren, Michael Maynard, Steven Maynard, Craig Maynard, Lisa Maynard Bible, Tracy Fay, Tammy Kimball Arcieri, Nicole Curley Dussia, Lauren, Trey, Jenae, Natalie, Shannon and Amanda Curley; four great grandchildren; and a sister, Patsy Marshall.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Thomas Burton, St. Clair Burton, and Stafford “Bud” Burton; and sisters, Joanne Edison and Shirley North.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Friday, November 16, 2012 in the Marysville Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 17, 2012 in the Marysville Funeral Home. Deacon Dennis Crimmins of Holy Trinity Parish will officiate.
Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Terence Curley, Daniel Curley, Michael Maynard, Steven Maynard, Craig Maynard and Trey Curley.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
