Samuel Woodley

Samuel Lee Woodley, 85, of Port Huron, departed this life on Sunday, November 25, 2012 after a long illness.
He was born June 11, 1927 in Hutchinson, West Virginia to the late Alex and Willie (Duckett) Woodley.
Sam graduated from Dunbar High School in Fairmount, West Virginia. He moved to Port Huron in 1946. He was a member of Central Star Lodge #23 F. & A.M., where he took an active role in his younger days. Sam loved to listen to music, especially jazz. He kept very much to himself during his retirement.
Sam leaves to treasure his life's memories two special cousins, Johnnie M. Ashford and Bessie Smith; and a host of relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James Woodley.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 30, 2012 in Lakeside Cemetery Chapel. The Rev. Alex Crittenden will officiate.
Arrangements are by Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
