Obituary

Phillip Martin Stein, 81, of North Street, died Wednesday, December 12, 2012.

He was born May 27, 1931 in Wadhams to the late Frank and Eleanor Stein. He married Carole Wasolek on August 25, 1983 in North Street.

Phillip was a mechanic and tow truck driver for Stein's Towing. He attended St. Stephen's Catholic Church and was a humble man who loved his Lord. Phillip was extremely patriotic and also enjoyed traveling and spending time outdoors. More than anything, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be remembered for his motto, "a job worth doing is worth doing right".

He is survived by his wife, Carole; two sons, Martin (Patricia) Stein of Sparta, Wisconsin and Frank (Debbie) Stein of Fort Gratiot; two daughters, Diane (Robert) Foglesong of Lakeport and Marsha (Marlin) Barker of Glennville, Georgia; two step-daughters, Lynn Eyre and Kim Bethway, both of Port Huron; six grandchildren, Phillip (Amanda) Stein II, Tricia L. Stein, MD, Melissa (Eddie) King, Heather (Chad) Waggoner, Steven (fiancé Kim Samuels) Stein, and Christina (Steve) Thale; three step-grandchildren, Jamie and Michelle Eyre and Amanda Bethway; seven great grandchildren; and one step great grandchild; three brothers, Robert (Bunny) Stein, Ken (Vera) Stein, and Joe (Leona) Stein; a sister, Ruthann (Jerry) Chrivia; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Debbie Smith.

Visitation will be from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. on Sunday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Mr. Stein will lie in state from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 12:00 noon on Monday, December 17, 2012 in St. Stephen Catholic Church (Please note location change). The Reverend Brian Cokonougher will officiate.

Burial will be in Kinney Cemetery, Clyde Township.

Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.
