Joseph S Garcia

Joseph Sedawe Garcia, 81, of Port Huron, died Sunday, December 23, 2012.

He was born January 7, 1931 in Bridgeport, Texas to the late Guadalupe and Mary Garcia. He married Alice Parker on January 2, 1954 in Port Huron.

Mr. Garcia was employed with Collin & Catlin Construction and Lerner & Linden Construction. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of American Legion Charles Hammond Post #8.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Alice; two sons, Joseph (Linda) Garcia and Anthony "Tony" (Bonnie) Garcia; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a brother, Ernest (Alice) Garcia; a sister, Linda Reyes; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Grace, and two brothers, Hassan and Albert.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2013 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 2 p.m. Dr. M. Jacob Kaufman will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council.

Inurnment will be in the Allied Veterans Cemetery Columbarium.
