Helen M. Ferris, 101, of Marysville, died Wednesday, January 9, 2013.

She was born October 17, 1911 in La Crosse, Wisconsin to the late John and Fannie Ferris.

Miss Ferris was employed with Prestolite Wire Company for 38 years prior to her retirement. She was a charter member of St. Christopher Catholic Church and a member of the Rosary Altar Society, League of Catholic Women and the First Friday Club. She enjoyed bowling and sewing.

She is survived by a sister, Veronica "Dolly" Ferris; two nephews, Leo (Dolly) Ramia and John (Gayle) Ferris; three nieces, Barbara (Daniel) Champion, Gloria (Mark) Hudson and Anita Nammo; many great nieces and great nephews; and loving caregivers, Myrna Pelc, Gina Fleury and Jessica Shaw. She was preceded in death by three brothers, John, George and Thomas Ferris; two sisters, Pauline (Frank) Ramia and Mary Ferris; a sister-in-law, Florence Ferris; and two nephews, Frank Ramia Jr. and Larry Ramia

Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday in the Marysville Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 4:00 p.m.

Miss Ferris will lie in state from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 14, 2013 in St. Christopher Catholic Church. The Reverend Arthur Baranowski will officiate.

The Rite of Committal will follow in Riverlawn Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Christopher Catholic Church, St. Jude Children's Hospital or the Council on Aging Meals on Wheels.
