Orville T Doan

Orville Doan, 93, of Fort Gratiot, died Wednesday, February 6, 2013.

He was born December 27, 1919 in Port Huron to the late David and Jessie Doan. He married Maude E. Hoag on his birthday in 1947 in Sandusky. They were married 64 years before she died on October 24, 2012.

Mr. Doan was a machinist with Mueller Brass. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the Free Methodist Church.

He is survived by a daughter, Bethene (Lee) Ehmcke; two sons, Dennis (Beverly) Doan and Richard (Shari) Doan; three grandchildren, Chad (Priscilla) Ehmcke, Candice (Dan) Easterling and Kevin Doan and fiancée, Jennifer Girton; three great grandsons, Ryan and Rylee Ehmcke and Chandler Easterling; a brother, Wallace Doan; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, February 9, 2013 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. The Reverend Randy Bennett of Blue Water Free Methodist Church will officiate.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council.
