Alger Bush

Alger L. Bush Jr., 79, of Clyde Township, died Friday, March 1, 2013.

He was born July 22, 1933 in Port Huron to the late Alger and Blanche Bush Sr. He married Joanne Patterson on December 4, 1953 in Lexington.

Mr. Bush was employed with Detroit Edison Company for 44 years and was Chairman of the St. Clair Division of U.W.U.A. Local #223 for 17 years. He graduated from Port Huron High School in 1951 where he played football, baseball and wrestled. He coached hockey, Little League baseball, and enjoyed deer hunting, fly fishing and spending time at the cabin up North. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War

He is survived by his wife, Joanne; three children, Donnilee (Daniel) Hernandez, Mark (Merrilyn) Bush and Paul (Dr. Karen Pidick) Bush; eight grandchildren, Marc Richard, Melody (Paul) Richard, Kyle Richard, Natalie Richard, Marcie (Chris) Reif, Michael (Shannon) Bush, Kathleen Bush and McKenzie Bush; five great grandchildren, Alexis and Nathan Richard, Audrina Guldemond, Kensie and Kade Reif; two brothers, William and Wesley Elsworth Bush; and many nieces and nephews

Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Monday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2013 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Reverend Richard J. Reinhart of Wadhams Baptist Church will officiate.

Burial will be in Lexington Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Marc and Kyle Richard, Michael and Gregg Bush, Rick, Patrick and Mike Patterson.
