Paula Gretchen Swain, 86, of Port Huron Township, died Tuesday, March 26, 2013.
She was born July 24, 1926 in St. Johns to the late Olen and Dorothy Witt. She married William H. Swain, Sr. on August 24, 1946 in St. Johns. He died November 13, 2009.
Mrs. Swain was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed playing cards, going for car rides and being with her family.
She is survived by her children, Harry (Debbie) Swain, Edward Swain, Pamela (Gary) Miller, Patricia (Raymond) Ferrett, Suzanne (Alex) Boskovic and Steven (Dawn) Swain; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, Richard; and a sister, Sheila. She was preceded in death by two sons, William and Patrick; a daughter-in-law, Gail Swain; and a granddaughter, Laurie Miller.
Visitation will be 6-8:30 p.m. Thursday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 29, 2013 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Reverend Dan Bakay will officiate.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Pallbearer will be Dale Swain, Kevin Miller, Keith Miller, Jason Matthews, Matt Ferrett, Andy Ferrett and Alex Boskovic.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Michigan School for the Deaf.
