William R Krenke
William R. Krenke, 87, of Ft. Gratiot, went home to be with his one and only girl friend, Patsy, on Tuesday, April 2, 2013.
He was born October 6, 1925 in Port Huron and was a life long area resident.
He married the love of his life, Patsy Cope on April 18, 1947 in Port Huron. She died August 17, 2011.
Mr. Krenke retired from Detroit Edison in 1987. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII in the Pacific Theatre of Operations and was a Past Commandant of the Marine Corp League. He enjoyed swimming, golfing, bowling, riding his motorcycle and traveling to motorcycle rallies with his wife.
He is survived by three daughters, Susan (Doug) Lubahn of Lapeer, Gayle (Denny) Klinkman of Smiths Creek, Carol "Pixie" Willett of Port Huron; a son, Kerry Krenke of Ft. Gratiot; five grandchildren, Mike (Brenda) Dingwell, Cori (Bryce) Lomerson, Bill (Kim) Klinkman, John (Jennifer) Klinkman, Kris Krenke (Ann Wilson); and six great grandchildren, Rylee & Zack Dingwell, Zoe & Mya Lomerson and Julia & Tyler Klinkman. He was preceded in death by his parents, William E and Mable Krenke; and a son, William Michael Krenke.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, April 6, 2013 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visiting from 11 am until the time of service. Rev. Mark Seppo will officiate. Military honors will be conducted by the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council and the U.S. Marine Corp.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Ft. Gratiot. His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Young Marines.
