Verda M Morris

Verda M. Murray-Morris of Marysville passed away April 5, 2013.
She was born June 14, 1914 in Croswell, MI to the late Albert and Bernice Smith. She married George N. Murray, who preceded her in death in November 1963. She then married W. D. “Dub” Morris of Mayfield, KY. He preceded her in death in November 1985.
She lived in Berkley and worked at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak for 20 years. She moved to Marysville in 1986 and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, Golden Agers and the Marysville Card Club. She was also a long time member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church.
Verda is survived by a loving daughter, Joan Vermander of Algonac; sister, Alfreda Bukowski of Ft. Gratiot; many nieces and nephews; and a special caregiver, Mercedes Fox of Port Huron.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Eleanor Thibdaue and Velma Nichols.
Memorial services will be held at 11 am Monday, April 8, 2013 in the Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Marysville with visiting from 10:30 am until the time of service at church. Rev. John Hitzeroth will officiate. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Cemetery, Troy.
