Howard L Meyers

Howard L. Meyers, 70, of Kimball Township, died Monday, April 22, 2013 in Port Huron Hospital surrounded by his family.

He was born August 21, 1942 in North Branch to the late Harold and Onalee Meyers. He married Janet Tack on July 10, 1965 in Marysville.

Mr. Meyers graduated from Marysville High School in 1961. He was employed with General Dynamics prior to his retirement. He was a member of Holy Trinity Parish, was an usher and Eucharistic Minister. He enjoyed traveling, camping, hunting, playing cards and gardening. He was a member of the Port Huron Stamp Club and Holiday Rambler Travel Club.

He is survived by his wife, Janet; three children, Darlene (Steven) Kramp, Jim (Leia) Meyers and Barbara (Karl) Ernest; six grandchildren, Tom Kramp, Kelsey Kramp, Kody Ernest, August Meyers, Zachary Ernest and Samuel Meyers; great grandson, Luke; his sister, Janice (Monty) Moncher; brother, Wayne (Linda) Meyers; sister-in-law, Gina Meyers; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill and Sandy Tack; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Wendell Meyers and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gus and Tina Tack.

Visitation will be 2-5 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. A Scripture Service will be held at 8 p.m.

Mr. Meyers will lie in state on Friday, April 26, 2013 in Holy Trinity Parish St. Stephens Catholic Church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Brian Cokonougher will officiate. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.

Inurnment will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery Columbarium.

Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Parish or American Diabetes Association.
