James Michael Shamblin, 61, of Port Huron, died Tuesday, May 14, 2013 in Port Huron Hospital after a short illness surrounded by his family.
He was born December 8, 1951 in Port Huron to James and Audrey Shamblin.
James loved the outdoors and spending time with his dogs, Stormy and Sunny. He had a passion for wood carving and fishing. He will be missed by many.
He is survived by his son, Clifford (Amber) Shamblin; grandsons, Mason, Gavin and Wyatt Shamblin, of West Virginia; lifelong friend and ex-wife, Esther Shamblin; mother, Audrey Shamblin of Yale; siblings, Linda (Bob) Warner of Grosse Pointe, Joy (Larry) Gross of Lakeport, Bobby Ray (Deborah) Holstine of Florida, Marsha Alloway of Port Huron and Lela (Norm) Rogner of Texas; best friend, Andy Ondrus; and many nieces and nephews he loved dearly.
James was preceded in death by his father, James Clifford Shamblin, on January 12, 1996.
Cremation has taken place and a private celebration will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are by Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
