Meta M. Wilkins, 82, of Port Huron, died, unexpectedly, Friday, May 24, 2013.
She was born November 13, 1930 in Port Huron to the late Hans and Marie Harder.
Mrs. Wilkins was a bartender at the Colony and Roach Bars for many years and was fondly called "mom" by her many patrons. She was a devoted mother and was always looking out for the needs of others. She was a long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
She is survived by four children, David (Catherine) Wilkins, Mark C. Wilkins, Spring Pippenger and Tina (Timothy) Kennedy; 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; a brother, Tony (Nancy) Harder; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Stephen Wilkins and her brother, William Harder.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2013 in Trinity Lutheran Church with visitation one hour prior to the service. The Reverend Robert H. Mann will officiate.
Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church. Arrangements are by Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
