Thomas G Zauner

Thomas G. Zauner, 83, of Marysville, died Wednesday, May 29, 2013.

He was born February 20, 1930 in Port Huron to the late Andrew and Gisella Zauner. He married Beverley J. Collins on July 24, 1954 in Port Huron. Mr. Zauner retired from Detroit Edison. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Marysville American Legion Post #449, Moose Lodge #158 and St. Joseph Catholic Church. He enjoyed working in the yard, bowling, listening to classical music and, in his younger years, playing and watching baseball.

He is survived by his wife, Beverley; daughter, Sue Ellen (Thomas) Wells; daughter-in-law, Sheila Zauner; four grandchildren, Thomas (Melissa) Wells, Amber Wells, Andrew and Ava Zauner; two sisters, Dorothy Thomas and Mary Houston; six sisters-in-law, Charlotte Pelton, Joyce Huffman, Sharon Curtiss, Clara Collins, Eva Collins and Ruth West; and many dear nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Zauner on June 22, 2012; three brothers, John, Andrew and Joseph; a sister, Agnes Rouse; and several dear sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 in the Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. The Reverend Brian Cokonougher will officiate.

Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family or the Hunter Hospitality House. .
