Marilyn J Baker

Marilyn Joyce Baker, 81, of Kimball Township, died Tuesday, June 4, 2013 in Port Huron Hospital.

She was born July 5, 1931 in Port Huron to the late John and Margaret Yeager. She married Gilford Baker on March 6, 1948 in Port Huron. They had just celebrated their 65th anniversary.

Marilyn served on the Kimball Township Cemetery Board for 20 years. She loved doing genealogy.

She is survived by her husband, Gilford; two children, Connie (Robert) Galeski and Owen (Mary) Baker; four grandchildren, Brandon Baker (Jennifer Radar), April Gentner, Joy (Derrick) Daggett and Rodney Galeski; five great grandchildren; and sisters, Betty Little and Florence Sayers. She was preceded in death by her son, Miles Baker.

Visitation will be from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. on Thursday in the Marysville Funeral Home

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 7, 2013 in the Marysville Funeral Home. The Reverend James Petit will officiate.

Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Port Huron Township.

Memorial contributions may be made to Griswold Street Baptist Church or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
