George Davies
July 17th, 1950 to June 12th, 2013
George Carrigan Davies, 62, of Fort Gratiot Township, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, surrounded by his family.
He was born July 17, 1950 in Flint to the late Robert and Betty Davies. He married Nancy M. Nido on October 4, 1969 in Port Huron.
Mr. Davies graduated from Monroe High School and Michigan State University. He retired from Parke-Davis Pharmaceutical Company in 2000 and had also worked at Mueller Brass Company and ran a lawn and garden business in Port Huron. He was a member of North Lakeport Wesleyan Church and for all of his life enjoyed boating in the Great Lakes, Florida and the Caribbean. His family, friends and boating were his joy.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Nancy; two daughters, Anne Marie Davies of Denver, Colorado and Jennifer (Josh) Cooper of Okemos; three grandsons, Keller Davies MacLachlan, Charles Davies Cooper and Max Carrigan Cooper; a sister, Dawn (Bud) Marks; several nieces and nephews and many loving friends.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Sunday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 17, 2013 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Reverend Drew Mills of North Lakeport Wesleyan Church will officiate.
