Frances M. Reno, 93, of Port Huron, died Wednesday, June 26, 2013.
She was born May 29, 1920 in Port Huron to the late Jacob and Anna Zauner. She married John L. Reno, Sr. on August 9, 1941 in Port Huron. He died September 20, 1999.
Mrs. Reno was a member of the Class of 1938 from St. Stephen High School and was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading, especially western author Louis L'Amour, flowers and loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by a daughter, Ann Pollock of Port Huron; five sons, John (Denise) Reno of Port Huron Township, James (Loretta) Reno of Grosse Pointe Woods, David (Pam) Reno of Clyde, Timothy F. (Mary) Reno of Greenville and Thomas (Chris) Reno of Clyde; 15 grandchildren, Gary & Jeff Lakin, Amy Thompson, Ethan, Sarah, Bridget, David (Missy), Marc (Kelly), Michael, Tim Jr., Nick (Becky), and Peter (Nicole) Reno, Abigail (Ryan) Corcoran, Carrie (Mike) Lock and Heather Walker; 17 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Gary; two brothers, John and Joseph Zauner; and five sisters, Anne Zauner, Sister Mary Anita, Elizabeth Reese, Rose Houthoofd, and Margaret Lowe.
Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Friday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.
Mrs. Reno will lie in state from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2013 in St. Stephen Catholic Church. The Reverend Joseph Gagnon will officiate.
Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery. Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Stephen Catholic Church or Blue Water Area Humane Society.
