Henry Joseph “Harry” Soulliere, 89, of Lexington, died August 18, 2013.
He was born January 12, 1924 in Detroit, MI to the late Henry and Emma Soulliere. He married Carolyn Gaffney on January 28, 1950 in Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Smiths Creek.
Mr. Soulliere was a former member of the American Legion Smiths Creek Post # 525, the Teamsters Local and the Kimball Lions Club. He enjoyed fishing, camping and playing Euchre.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Carolyn; seven children, Darlene (Glenn) Tolan of Avoca, Henry L. (Ida) Soulliere of Kimball, Larry (Kim) Soulliere of Ruby, Leo (Phyllis) Soulliere of Kimball, Dan (Linda) Soulliere of Fort Gratiot, Bob (Renee) Soulliere and Ken (Kathy) Soulliere both of Port Huron; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, Richard (Gerie) Soulliere; a sister-in-law, Carol Soulliere; and step brothers, Louie (Kay) Berard, Leo (Sarah) Berard and George (Diane) Berard. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin (Nancy) and David S. Soulliere; one sister, Ethel Gregson and step brother, Paul Berard.
A funeral service will take place at 1pm Thursday, August 22, 2013 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visiting beginning at 10 am. The Rev. Don Doerzbacher of Our Saviour Lutheran will officiate. Military Honors will be conducted under the auspices of the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
