Betty J Lorf

Betty Jane Lorf, 83, of Marysville, died Wednesday, August 21, 2013. She was born January 4, 1930 in Algonac to the late Roy and Eleanor Fournier. She married Melvin C. Lorf on June 28, 1952 in Richmond. He died October 30, 2002. Mrs. Lorf was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Richmond. Her life revolved around her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by a son, Doug (Lucy) Lorf of Marysville; a granddaughter, Traci (Joe) Collins; four great grandchildren, Mark, Dawn, Eric and Seth Collins; a sister, Dorothy Ray; two brothers, Charles (Gloria) Fournier and Richard (Marianne) Fournier; a sister-in-law, Elaine Fournier; a brother-in-law, Merril Cronce; a special nephew, Bob (Rose) Gelushia; and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant son, James M. Lorf; and a granddaughter, Pati Lorf in 2006. Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Sunday in the Marysville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 26, 2013 in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Richmond Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church or Marwood Nursing and Rehab.
