Lucille K Ekelund

Lucille Katherine Ekelund, 91, of Port Huron, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 19, 2013. She was born April 24, 1922 in Richmond to the late Clayton and LeEtta Miers. She married Theodore Ekelund Jr. on December 27, 1941 in Port Huron. He died July 16, 1992 after 50 years of marriage. Mrs. Ekelund was a member of First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Club 90. She was a former member of Black River Boat Club and the Lioness Club. She enjoyed sewing, cross stitch and upholstering. She is survived by a daughter, Carol Ekelund; two sons, Theodore (Kathy) Ekelund III and Donald (Therese) Ekelund; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Gary Ekelund. Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 23, 2013 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Reverend William Wright will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church.
