Onita Seaman

May 8th, 1927 to March 25th, 2012

Onita Elene Seaman, 84, of Port Huron, died Sunday, March 25, 2012.

She was born May 8, 1927 in Flint to the late Keith and Lucy Brooks.

Mrs. Seaman worked in the plastics industry. She was a voracious reader and enjoyed crocheting. She loved caring for her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by a daughter, Candace Soehren of Fort Gratiot; two sons, William Seaman of Croswell and Jeffrey (Vickie) Seaman of Lexington; a daughter-in-law, Cheri Seaman of Fort Gratiot; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; a sister, Alice (William) Becker of Marysville; a sister-in-law, Mary Brooks of Port Huron; a brother-in-law, Eugene Mayworm of St. Clair; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son Gregory Seaman, a daughter, Pamela DeBell, a grandson, Dylan Smith, two brothers, Walter Brooks and Allen Brooks, and a sister, Ardis Mayworm.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2012 in North Lakeport Wesleyan Church. The Reverend Drew Mills will officiate.

Inurnment will be in Mt. Hope Columbarium.

Memorial contributions may be made to St Clair County Sheriffs Dive Team or Port Huron Host Lions Club.
