Richard Hisscock
Richard George “Dick” Hisscock, 65, of Fort Gratiot, died Thursday, October 2, 2014.
He was born August 2, 1949 in Port Huron to the late C. Gerald and Aletha Hisscock. He married Connie Brenton on March 17, 1972 in Port Huron.
Mr. Hisscock was a teacher with the Port Huron Area School District for 26 years and was also a CBP officer at the Blue Water Bridge for 29 years. He was a 1967 graduate of Port Huron High School and received his bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University and his master’s from Eastern Michigan University. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Methodist Men’s Club. He enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Blue Water Sportfishing Association.
He is survived by his wife, Connie; two sons, Scott and Keith Hisscock; three grandchildren, Brenton, Jacob and Amber Hisscock; a brother, Gerald (Barbara) Hisscock; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ronald and Joyce Brenton; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 6, 2014 in First United Methodist Church. The Reverend William Wright will officiate.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church.
