John E Schymick

John Edward Schymick, 68, of Marysville, formerly of Richmond, died Wednesday, July 29, 2015. He was born May 15, 1947 in Detroit to the late Edward and Freda Schymick. John graduated from St. Anthony Catholic High School in 1965 and served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked at the New Haven Foundry for over 20 years. John was a former member of the James Coleman VFW Post 6802 in Richmond. He is survived by his daughters, Melissa (Terry) Obermesik of Marysville and Jennifer (Matt) Calabrese of Chesterfifeld; two granddaughters, Jessica Yancey and Haley Koehler; and several cousins. Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. Monday in the Marysville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2015 in the Marysville Funeral Home. Pastor Jim Turner of Marysville Assembly of God will officiate. Military Honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Navy and the Veterans Honor Guard Alliance. Inurnment will be in the Allied Veterans Columbarium, Port Huron. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
