Obituary

Mildred Louise Trousdale, 90, of Port Huron, died Friday, August 28, 2015.

She was born June 24, 1925 in Cherokee, Oklahoma to the late Alva and Lula Burnett. She married Herman B. Trousdale on September 2, 1945 in California and he preceded her in death.

Mildred was a member of Detroit World Outreach. She loved music, singing, and dancing, especially doing the Charleston and the Twist. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed joking, surprising people, going for walks and cruising on her scooter. More than anything, though, she loved her children and being a “nanna”, grandma and great grandma.

She is survived by three daughters, Linda (Larry) Wiley, Sandy (Rich) LaVere and Diane (Gary) Parker; a son, Ray (Jean) Trousdale; 14 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret (Richard) Braun and Sandra (Leonard) Kolanowski; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by a son, Jim Trousdale Sr.; and siblings, Dorothy Bilinski and William Burnett.

Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Monday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2015 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Pastor Robert Purcell of Detroit World Outreach will officiate.

Burial will be in Kinney Cemetery, Clyde Township. Pallbearers will be Mildred’s grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the family.
