Edward Hulscher

Edward “Ed” Hulscher, 85 of Port Huron, died Tuesday, March 29, 2016.

He was born August 9, 1930 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. He married Marcille Kephart on January 29, 1989 in Birmingham, Michigan.

Ed served as a merchant marine officer in the Netherlands until coming to the United States as a young man. He was a self-employed professional marketer for many years and also owned and operated with his wife, the Joy House Bed & Breakfast in Marshall, Michigan.

He is survived by his wife, Marcille Hulscher; his three children, Karin (Don) Allen, Bruce (Sue) Hulscher and Art Hulscher; seven grandchildren, Maxwell and Sophia Allen, Kyle, Nicolas, Hannah, Sarah and Margaret Hulscher; two step sons, Thomas (Doreen) Kephart and Matthew (Ronda) Kephart; three step grandchildren, Erin and Andrew Kephart and Kyle Musolf; a sister, Netty Hulscher; brother, Hans Hulscher; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.

A private celebration of his life will take place this Friday, April 1, 2016 in Birmingham. Additional details are available from the family.
