George Van Sickle, 75, of Kimball Township, formerly of Clinton Township, died Tuesday, April 5, 2016.
He was born August 4, 1940 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late George and Mildred Van Sickle. He married Marjorie Ann Roll on October 20, 1963 in Eastpointe. She died July 17, 2015.
Mr. Van Sickle serve in the U.S. Air Force for three years. He was employed as a Die Leader at various manufacturing shops in the area and retired in 2006. He loved woodworking, walking and traveling.
He is survived by three sons, Ronald (Georgia Guillory) Van Sickle, Scott (Christine) Van Sickle and Jason Van Sickle; nine grandchildren, Vicki, Kevin (Stacy), Connor, Hannah, Caeleigh, Mason and Ethan Van Sickle, Ashlee (Mitch) Miller and Devin Pryer; seven great grandchildren; and a brother, Jim (Linda) Van Sickle.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Friday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2016 in Trinity Lutheran Church with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Dr. Mark Madson will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Air Force and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
Burial will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. George’s family will serve as pallbearers.
