Lila M Ray

Lila Mae Ray, 74, of Kimball Township went home to be with the Lord Monday, July 18, 2016.

She was born July 12, 1942 in Port Huron to the late Lyle and Udina Marie Byrd. She married Terrance Ray on June 21, 1980 in Port Huron. He died December 31, 2011.

Lila enjoyed crafts, scrapbooking and researching genealogy. She was a long time member of Blue Water Free Methodist Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Lyle Samuelson Jr., Daniel Samuelson, Joe (Lori) Samuelson, Robert (Laurie) Samuelson, Sylvia (Harry) McKinney, Jenny (Tony) Rhodes, Earl Ray, Sara Ray, Nina (Frank) Leonard, Jackie Carboy and Dawn (Marcus) Ellis; 28 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; brothers, Sam (Phyllis) Byrd and Floyd Dean; several nieces and nephews; and dogs, Rascal and Sasha. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Starr Samuelson.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, July 21, 2016 in Blue Water Free Methodist Church with visitation from 11:00 am until the time of service. Pastor Randy Bennett will officiate. Burial will be in Caswell Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Special Olympics, Michigan.
