Gary E Herbert

Gary Ernest Herbert, 67, of Burtchville Township, died Tuesday, August 9, 2016.

He was born May 21, 1949 in Ann Arbor. He married Carol Thielman March 24, 1990 in Port Huron.

Gary worked as a custodian for St. Clair County R. E. S. A. for many years. He enjoyed collecting and refinishing antiques and loved going for drives in the car.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carol; children, Gary Herbert, Laura (Jim) Lee, and Kayley Herbert; grandchildren, Gary and Taylor Herbert, Donald and Caitlin Wilton; sister’s, Claudette (Ron) Edie, Joanne (Gary) Sweeney, Donna (Dave) Everitt; brothers-in-law, Eldon Thielman, August (Marie) Thielman, Thomas (Sue) Thielman, Robert Thielman, and Earl Thielman; sisters-in-law, Ann Garrett, Janet Atherton, and Diane Rapson; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette Anderson.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm, Monday, August 15, 2016 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at noon. The Reverend Kelly Pittman will officiate.

Burial will take place in Woodland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to McLaren Hospice.
