Kathy A Topolewski

Kathy Ann Topolewski, 63, of St. Clair Township, died Friday, February 10, 2017.

She was born April 3, 1953 in Detroit to the late Earl and Shirley Schlitt. She married Dr. Mark Topolewski on August 25, 1973 in East Detroit.

Kathy worked alongside her husband as the office manager at his optometry practice for 30 years. She enjoyed scrapbooking, golfing, shopping with her daughter, and supervising the family’s annual vacation to Oscoda as the official Oscoda Camp Director with crafts, games and s’mores. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Dr. Mark Topolewski; children, Dr. Jeff (Renae) Topolewski and Melissa (Paul) Seifert; grandchildren, Liam Topolewski, Penelope Topolewski, Jackson Seifert and Elizabeth “Lizzy” Seifert; brothers, Gary (Kathy) Schlitt and Jim (Tracy) Schlitt; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial visitation will be held from 1:30-8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 16, 2017 in the Marysville Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Karmanos Cancer Institute or Blue Water Hospice.
