Larry E. "Skip" Oakley
Larry Edward “Skip” Oakley, 71, of Port Huron Township, died Saturday, July 22, 2017.
He was born April 26, 1946 in Port Huron to the late Arthur and Virginia Oakley.
Larry served in the U.S. Army. He spent many years living in Wyoming and had many fond memories of his time there. He enjoyed listening to music, sports of all kinds and watching old westerns on TV.
He is survived by his daughter, Lisa (Harold) Scheunmann; grandsons, Mike and Aaron; sister, Terry (Stephen) Fischer; brother, Michel (Brenda) Oakley; and many nieces and nephews, including Julie DeLaney who served as his long time caregiver. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Charlotte Fahs.
Private graveside services will be held in Kinney Cemetery at a later date. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
