James Pavey

James A. Pavey, 81 of Fort Gratiot, died Saturday, June 30, 2018.

He was born June 17, 1937 in Alvinston, Ontario to the late Harry and Anna Margaret Pavey. He married Donna Schrader on January 15, 1977 in Port Huron.

Mr. Pavey was employed with Bell Canada for 20 years and then was a heavy equipment operator for Reid Aggregate in Sarnia and Blue Water Aggregate in Marysville. He enjoyed working on and restoring old cars, golfing, wintering in Florida, going on his annual moose hunt in Canada, and spending time with his family. In his youth, he played hockey and he continued to enjoy watching hockey and NASCAR racing.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Donna; children, Lynn (Barry) Ash, Brian (Jill) Pavey, Tom (Jere) Schrader, Tanya (Craig) Stover and Terri Brennan; ten grandchildren, Kristen (Jeremy), Tyler (Ashleigh), Tabby, Zach, Craig, Kelsey, Mitchel, James. Jordan and Joel; three great grandchildren, Brooklynn, Annabelle and Baylee; brother, Neil (Irene) Pavey, sister-in-law, Donalene Pavey; brother-in-law, Gary Satterlee; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Leanne Pavey and a brother, Don Pavey.

A memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2018 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m. The Reverend Bruce Sedich will officiate.
