Charles F. Remick, Sr.

May 4th, 1931 to September 1st, 2018

Charles Frederick Remick Sr., 87, of Port Huron, died on Saturday, September 1, 2018.

He was born on May 4, 1931 in Amadore, Michigan to the late Gust and Margaret Remick. He married Mary J. Black on August 2, 1952. She preceded him in death on January 10, 2013.

Charles retired from Chrysler Corporation in 1987 after 36 years. He was a lifelong member of the V.F.W. Charles Schoor Post #796 where he was past Commander, a life member of the V.F.W. National Home for Children. He was also a member of the American Legion Charles Hammond Post #8 and the Moose Lodge #158.

Charles is survived by his sons, Charles Jr., John, Kenneth and Timothy Remick; daughters, Deborah Womble, Michelle (Dick) Reynolds and Roxanne (Richard) Ball; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Gust; sisters, Vivian (Alvin) Adolph, Mary Lou (Joseph) Rutherford and Virginia (Ray) Buchkowski; and great grandson, Austin Reynolds.

Visitation will be from 7-9 pm Tuesday and 2-4 and 7-9 pm Wednesday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday, September 6, 2018 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Reverend Randy Bennett of Blue Water Free Methodist Church will officiate.

Burial will be in Port Sanilac Cemetery. His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
