Wilhelm Franz

Wilhelm Franz, 79, of Avoca, passed away Friday, September 6, 2019, beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather.

He was born December 12, 1939 in Mokrin, Yugoslavia to the late Martin and Maria Franz. He married Joanne May on July 29, 1961 in East Detroit.

Wilhelm was a skilled tool machinist and he had many talents. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and working on cars. He belonged to the Vixen Motor Home Association and enjoyed working and maintaining his Vixen RV as well as helping other Vixen-owner friends with their RVs and traveling.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joanne; two sons, Wilhelm and Karl (Angelina) Franz; a granddaughter, Sarah (Michael) Stribling; four great grandchildren, Autumn Franz and Bryanna, Chloe, and Darcy Stribling; two brothers, Toni (Rosi) and John Franz; a sister-in-law, Diane Franz; and a brother-in-law, Michael May. He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Franz; and a sister-in-law, Edna Franz.

Funeral Services will be held at noon on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Deacon Dennis Crimmins will officiate.

Burial will be in Ruby Cemetery, Clyde Township.
