Ruth Marie Erickson

Ruth Marie Erickson, 91, of Marysville, died Saturday, October 22, 2011.
She was born April 13, 1920 in Tabor, Iowa to the late Frank and Ruby Leonard. She married Wayne E.A. Erickson on May 8, 1943 in Omaha, Nebraska.
Ruth was a member of First Baptist Church in Port Huron and a former member of Cherry Hill Baptist Church in Dearborn Heights. While at Cherry Hill, Ruth enjoyed her task of making sure that the church newsletter was always mailed on time. She was also an avid bowler and a sports fan, especially of the Detroit Tigers and college football.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Wayne; a daughter, Mary (Noel) Bedy of St. Clair; granddaughter, Nicole Bedy of St. Clair; grandson, Michael (Michelle) Bedy of New Hampshire; great grandchildren, Isabelle Ruth and Owen James Bedy; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Walter Leonard, Helen McClure, and Betty June Wilson.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in Marysville Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 in Marysville Funeral Home. The Reverend Daniel S. Bakay of First Baptist Church will officiate.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church.
