She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Dr. Richard T. Anderson, M.D., her sister, Mary Jane Southouse Fast of Fairfield, Connecticut, her two daughters, Christina Anderson Gibson (Jason) of Ft. Gratiot and Katherine Noel Anderson (Joseph Furtek) of Bristow, Virginia; and her grandchildren, William, Cassandra, James and Graham Gibson.

Linda began teaching art in Connecticut and later in New Orleans and Washington D.C. where she moved with her husband Richard during his medical training and service in the Army. After military service they moved to Peoria, Illinois where Linda ran Chez Nous, a French bistro, and later purchased a smocking sewing shop. Soon thereafter she expanded the business and founded Sew Elegant Quilt Shoppe where she sold fabrics, notions, and sewing machines. She also offered and taught quilting and sewing classes. Artist, chef, quilter, business woman, devoted wife and loving mother, Linda shared her talents, passions and love with everyone she met. She will be greatly missed.

In honor of her creative talents, the family will be hosting a quilt show of her work over the years at the Sew Elegant Quilt Shoppe, 3909 Pine Grove Ave., Ft. Gratiot on Saturday March 19, 2022 from 1 to 3 p.m.
