Jessie Grant

Jessie Grant, 90, of Port Huron Township, died Sunday, May 1, 2022.

She was born June 20, 1931 in Billings, MT to the late Guadalupe and Carman Vasquez. She married George Grant on November 11, 1961 in Port Huron. He preceded her in death on April 7, 1970.

Jessie was an active member of Holy Trinity Parish St. Stephen Catholic Church and former member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Hispanic Mission. She was a foster mother for several years and caregiver to many seniors. She loved gardening.

She is survived by her daughter, Lydia Grant; son, Joseph Grant; daughter-in-law, Kim Grant; special nieces and nephews, Romana, Rosemary and Louis Rodriguez; six grandchildren, Jeff (Shawn) Redfield, Eric Redfield, Scott Redfield, Erica Grant, John (Trisha) Grant and Gary Grant; 11 great grandchildren; brother, Tony Vasquez; and sisters, Erline Guiterrez, Margaret Torres and Mary Perez. She was preceded in death by her son, Gary Grant; foster son, Mark Vasquez; and several brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2022 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.

Jessie will lie in state from 10:30 a.m. until the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 6, 2022 in Holy Trinity Parish St. Stephen Catholic Church. The Reverend Bradley Forintos will officiate.

Burial was in Caswell Cemetery, Kimball Township.
