Ronald Michael Hinkley

Ronald M. Hinkley, 80, of Marysville, passed way unexpectedly Saturday, March 4, 2023, in his home, after battling Dementia and Alzheimers.

He was born November 24, 1942 in Marysville to the late George H. and Zota E. (Murray) Hinkley and was the youngest son of seven children.

Ronald graduated from Marysville High School, Class of 1960. Following graduation, Ron served honorably with the U.S. Air Force from 1961-1965. After returning home from the military, he was a life-long mechanic who enjoyed street rods, drag racing, and NASCAR. He also loved playing softball in the city rec leagues as a young man.

Ron is survived by his children, Ronald (Karen) Hinkley Jr. of Clyde, MI, Randy (Carrie) Hinkley of Orlando, FL, Robin (Brian) Guilds of Fort Gratiot, MI, Holly (Bill) Collins of Ludington, MI, Mark (Ricquel) Hinkley of Big Rapids, MI, and Rachel (James) Hunnicutt of Nashville, TN; 19 grandchildren, Michael, Kylie, Ty, Dylan, Taylor, Logan, Randi-Lyn, Elizabeth, Chelsie Nichol, Chelsea Alex, Elyse, Brianna, Hunter, Mikayla, Riata, and Ivy; 20 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard “Dick”, Burnell “Bud”, Lawrence, and James Hinkley; and his sisters, Marjorie Baird, and Janet Doan.

Graveside services and Military Honors will be held this summer in Riverlawn Cemetery.
