Robert J "Bob" Silver

Robert J. Silver, 66 of Port Huron passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023.

He was born in Detroit in 1957 to Margaret “Jeanne” and James Percy Silver.

Bob grew up in Port Huron and only left for a short time to serve in the U.S. Army. He was a proud Veteran, always talking about the time he spent stationed in Germany.

In 1983, Bob married the love of his life, Linda, and treasured their 40 years together.

Bob was a dedicated Court Officer serving St. Clair County for over 35 years. He enjoyed golfing, shooting pool, boating with the family, traveling with his wife and hanging out with his buddies. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, the Moose Lodge #158 and the American Legion. He was an amazing husband and father, always there for his wife and kids, and the world’s proudest papa.

Bob is survived by his wonderful wife, Linda; three children, Andy and Ryan Silver and Katie (Clarence) Carroll; his beautiful granddaughter, Cora; sister, Marie (Mike) Buzan; brother, Shawn Silver; sisters-in-law, Debbie, Jean and Tammy Silver; brother-in-law, Gerry Slota; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James P. and Margaret “Jeanne” Silver; three brothers, Charles, John, and James M. Silver; two sisters, Cathrine Silver-Martin (David Martin) and Laura Slota.

Visitation will be 2-5 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday, January 4, 2024 in the Marysville Funeral Home.

Further visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon on Friday, January 5, 2024 in the Marysville Funeral Home followed by Military Honors conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard at 12:00 noon.
