Joyce L Foster

Joyce L. Foster, 80, of Fort Gratiot, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 26, 2024.

She was born April 9, 1944 in Pontiac to the late Eunice and the Reverend Ira L. Wood.

Joyce was employed as a Guidance Counselor with the Croswell-Lexington School District for many years prior to her retirement.

She is survived by her brother, Ira “Lawrence” (Paula) Wood; step-children, Robert Foster II, Jay Foster, Sean Foster and Anne Coleman; and several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Foster in 2006; and step-son, Mike Foster. She also leaves behind cousins; countless lives she touched along life’s journey; and special friends, Sal and Sara Hernandez and Sharon Jacobs.

As Joyce asked, there will be no services scheduled. She wished to leave this earth the way she lived it- with modesty and integrity.

Cremation has taken place. Her remains will be scattered on Six Mile Lake where her beloved Bob’s cremated remains were offered up. They will jointly be remembered as lives well-loved and celebrated.

If Joyce had anything else to share with family and friends it would be this: “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord’, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” Romans 10:9-10.
