February 14th, 1941 to August 26th, 2024
Obituary

Thomas Edward Kaczperski, of St. Clair, a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and friend passed away peacefully on Monday, August 26, 2024 at the age of 83.

Tom was born on February 14th, 1941 in Marine City, Michigan and spent his childhood there with his parents, Edward and Stella Kaczperski, and his older brother, Lawrence. He graduated from Holy Cross High School, then went on to attend St. Clair County Community College before transferring to the University of Michigan where he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Professionally, Tom was a successful entrepreneur in the plastics and prototype tool industry. He founded and spent decades growing Omega Plastics, which was incorporated in 1984. Throughout the years, he embraced the role of a leader and mentor, helping others achieve their own successes and providing opportunities to better the lives of many. His integrity and love for his employees set him apart, earning him the respect and admiration of all who knew him. In 2001, Tom retired and entrusted the company he built to his son, Jeffrey, ensuring that his vision and values would continue to guide Omega. Upon retirement, Tom enjoyed traveling, spending time up north, playing board and card games, and being with family and friends.

As a family man, Tom cherished the large, loving family he and his beloved wife, Paulette, built together. They were blessed with eight children and their spouses, Susan (Jeff) Jex, Jill (Roy Jr.) Roy, Jeffrey (Dawn) Kaczperski, Kate (Josh) Palmateer, Jason (Amy) Diller, Corry Diller, Ryan Diller, Kim Holaday; 20 grandchildren and their spouses; and 6 great-grandchildren. Each of these family members were deeply influenced by his wisdom, warmth, and unwavering moral compass. He instilled in his children and extended family the values of hard work, honesty, and compassion - lessons that will be carried forward through generations.

Tom attended Kensington Church in Clinton Township. His faith in Jesus Christ was the cornerstone of his life. A devoted servant of God, Tom lived each day in accordance with his beliefs. He was a man of prayer, and shared the love, wisdom, and teachings of the Bible with many. He was involved in a multitude of ministries over the years-from prison ministry to various positions at church-he loved being engaged in the work of God.

Tom leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and generosity that will continue to inspire those who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Paulette, his family, and countless friends and colleagues. Though he is no longer with us in body, we are comforted knowing he is now celebrating with his heavenly Father. We will meet again; of that we can be sure.

Visitation will be from 12-3 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Thursday, August 29, 2024 in the Marysville Funeral Home.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Tom’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 30, 2024 in the Marysville Funeral Home. The Reverend Dr. Thomas Seppo will officiate.

The family requests that donations be made to SONS Outreach, Operation Transformation or Blue Water Hospice Home, in keeping with his lifelong dedication to helping others. To send condolences, visit marysvillefuneralhome.com
