Raymond L Warren Sr.

Raymond Leonard Warren Sr., 82, of Port Huron Township, died Friday, September 13, 2024.

He was born July 14, 1942 in Sparlingville, MI to the late Thomas and Evelyn Warren. He married Pamela Warner on October 15, 1966 in St. Clair. She preceded him in death on August 17, 2020 after 53 years of marriage.

In Raymond’s youth, he was an accomplished distance runner named “King of the Mile” by the local paper because he was undefeated at track meets. He retired from Detroit Edison after many years of hard work. Known to many as “the woodcarver,” he was very talented artistically and mechanically. He could create or restore anything he set his mind to. Above all, Raymond was a proud father and grandfather. He adored his grandchildren and they returned that same love and admiration back to him.

He is survived by three children, Raymond Warren Jr., Sarah Smith and Edward (Lisa) Warren; four grandchildren, Rachael, Rene, Carson and Benjamin; and a very special friend and wife, Rae Dawn who together were two rays of sunshine.

A private memorial service will be held in memory of Raymond. Cremation has taken place.
