Phillip worked at Prestolite Wire Corp for many years and retired from Detroit Edison in 2000. He enjoyed retirement and was very proud to tell everyone he was retired! Phillip enjoyed going camping with his family and friends in earlier years and was excellent at solving the hardest crossword puzzles. He also enjoyed sitting on his front porch and waving at the passer-bys as they beeped. He was a faithful chauffeur for his wife and also for his pastor, Kimberly Brown for many of the Zion Cathedral of Praise Church road trips and special events.
Phillip is survived by his children, Darlene Harris of Detroit, Zina (Douglas) Morris-Bankston of Nashville, TN, Mark (Monique) Mitchell of New Haven, Danielle Lindsay of Atlanta, GA and Phillip (Heather Arnold) Morris, Jr of Port Huron; grandchildren, Anthony (Kenya) Miller, Anthony Moncrief, Jr., Devontae (Amber) Miller, Christopher Johnson, Jr, LaQuita Edwards, Bridgette Johnson, Antonia (Dylan) Thompson, Ti-Ger Morris, Amare Morris, Nicole Harris, Lakaysha, Mackenzie, Mark Jr and Miracle Mitchell; and many great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
